Delicious avocado canapé
These avocado canapé are… addictive. They please also those people who usually do not like “modern” food so as is avocado nowadays.
I call myself a novice regarding avocado prepared as a salted dish. I grew up eating avocado as a fruit, prepared as a cream or as ice cream (one of my favorites).
I first tried guacamole as an adult. I liked it but never thought about preparing it at home. But lately I was influenced by this new wave around all avocado’s health advantages, and I’ve been adding it to many dishes, such as poké and mixed salad.
I found this extremely easy recipe on Italian’s blog Arabafeliceincucina. I have just doubled the lime juice because I like it so much together with avocado.
I prepared these avocado canapé with Sardinian crispy bread and with my favorite whole wheat bread well toasted. I believe it matches many other bread types so as crackers.
How to prepare avocado canapé:
- 1 medium avocado
- 3.5 oz cream cheese
- 2 Tbsp lime juice
- salt to taste
- Peel the avocado and put the fruit inside a deep plate. Using a fork (do not use the mixer), reduce it to a cream.
- Add cream cheese, lime juice and salt and mix well until well combined.
- Spread on bread slices and serve.
- Buon appetito!
