These squids with tomato sauce are delicious, easy to prepare and…perfect also if you’re on a diet. I prepare them using just a Tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil.
They are also quick to prepare – considering I am not good in cleaning squids and so I have them cleaned by the fish seller – and so you need less time.
I am on diet and so the challenge for me during this period is to cook tasty dishes but following my diet – that’s where we really need creativity.

Ingredients:
800 g squids
2 garlic cloves
1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
salt
400g canned tomato sauce
1/2 lemon juice
parsley (optional)
Preparation:
Clean squids and cut them in 1/4in stripes.
Put oil into a pan and as soon it gets warm add the two garlic cloves you have previously smashed.
Let garlic colour lightly and add squids. Fry them and then add lemon juice.
As soon as lemon juice evaporates, add tomato sauce and salt to taste.
As soon as it begins to boil, cover the pan with a lid and let it cook with low gas until squids are cooked and soft. Paragrafo
